An amazing bookstore with loads of personality and wonderful people. Perfect place to shop for gifts, cards, books, book accessories, and even chocolate treats. Went for a late night book signing event and it was very smooth and wonderful experience.

Wonderful selection of books and gifts. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The building and atmosphere are beautiful. They are welcoming to ALL people and do so much for the community. A true treasure!!

Very nice store with a good selection and good prices. I like the employee picks section, kind of reminds me of blockbuster back in the day and the recommendation is very detailed.

I walked in and I politely asked if I can use the bathroom to put my hair up for dance, one of the employees started to give me attitude saying things like “why do you have to use this bathroom when there are others”, “aren’t you atleast going to buy something”, I told the employee I’m new to the town and that was the only place I knew that wasn’t a restaurant that had a bathroom I could use, keep in mind I am 14 years old and a grown man wouldn’t stop giving me attitude while I was trying to be nice as possible, I told him I go to this bookstore a lot and I’m a frequent buyer, but he still wouldn’t stop telling me to buy something, when all I wanted was to use the bathroom. I just think it’s very rude how a grown man can be so rude to a girl who didn’t know her way around town and was just trying to get to dance on time.

Delightful bookstore - great selection, friendly and helpful staff, calming atmosphere that will tempt you to spend a few hours perusing the books. This store is a gem in downtown Ottawa!

This bookstore is beautiful, but ruined by an agenda. I loved bookstores so much as a kid and would love my children to enjoy visiting the local bookstore, but this store isn’t appropriate for children. Aside from being hit with the wrong alphabet right when you walk through the door, there are socks with the “f” word right across from where children’s books are. Such a shame.
